Partly cloudy with rain

Sunday was a day of cool, steady rain in the Portland style. At times it was a heavy downpour. Streams of water were rushing down the stair paths all around us. We spent most of the day inside studying Arabic or preparing our TESOL homework. In spite of the weather the evening meeting was well attended and a visiting Egyptian pastor spoke.

Monday morning we were back in our TESOL class, but this was our first class in the newly remodeled upstairs classroom. The reception office, computer room, staff room and a couple classrooms have been moved to the second floor. It is a very nice and much needed expansion. In the afternoon we met with a family we have gotten to know and they were able to share how things are changing for them and that they will probably be returning to Egypt shortly. In the evening Paul had a chance to share for fifteen or twenty minutes with 25 men meeting in a little home off somewhere a few hills away from here. He'd forgotten how challenging it is to keep your thinking on track while speaking through a translator.
